DJ Scotch Egg
Brighton noise musician and promoter Shiez 2000 was kept busy for many years with circuit bending Casio keyboards and pouring drinks for his next door neighbour SHITMAT. Not long ago he was contacted by a manufacturer of microwaveable delicacies (who shall remain nameless) needing some underground noise music credibility for their latest range. However, overindulgence in the heavily treated foreign foodstuff left Mr. 2000 with a bad attitude and much excess aggression. Concerned, ADAADAT's resident music therapist encouraged him to channel this negativity into live performance. DJ SCOTCH EGG was born. 2 Gameboys, a Megaphone and a shouting Japanese Man. He's not a DJ; he's definitely not Scottish and he's probably not an egg.
Tim Exile
Born in 78, played violin for a bit, sang in choirs, acted in plays, played in orchestras, was a good boy apart from getting caught smoking once, DJed for a bit, got into messing around with synths/tape machines, FX etc which was way more fun than DJing, jacked in the DJing, got a sampler, made house, made odd-beat, made drum & bass, did a degree in philosophy, released various drum & bass tunes between 99 and 2004ish on labels such as Moving Shadow, Beta Recordings, Renegade Hardware, Frequency, heard my music on the wireless, decided I was a 'musician', did an MA in electroacoustic composition, made karaoke backing tracks in exchange for bread, rent and fine English cheeses, made some music designed especially for things that move inside a television, got into making tweaked out music which was way more fun than drum & bass, jacked in making drum & bass, released an album of tweaked out music on Planet Mu (Pro Agonist, 2005), moved to Brighton for salty water and pooing seagulls, made a machine for improvising and performing tweaked out music in a manic gabbaret style which was way more fun than making tweaked out music in a studio, jacked in making tweaked out music in a studio, programmed some more machines that did cool things, recorded an album of entirely improvised and tweaked out music from all the gigs I did round Europe/The World last year which comes out in May 2006 on Planet Mu entitled 'Tim Exile's Nuisance Gabbaret Lounge'.
N>E>D
Official Warp DJ and Overkill head honcho, N>E>D has been performing laptop DJ sets around the world for the past 6 years. Ned has played many of Warp showcase audio-visual mega raves and spits on your worthless excuse of an acid party!
Ultre AV
Ultre is Finn McNicholas, a 24-year-old musician from Northern England who started his musical career performing in "loud bands" in the independent music scene. His evolving interest in sound design and composition spawned an obsession for creating solo computer compositions with the hope of becoming a film composer. Computer animation, graphic design and digital media proved to offer a complimentary avenue for artistic expression. Over a period of ten years, Finn has progressed playing home made instruments hewn from metal and wire, composing music for TV, PSP, short film and performing audiovisual shows throughout Europe. Ultre has already made an impact on the live circuit playing his energised and beautiful sets with the likes of (Chris) Clark, Tim Exile, Freeform, Carsten Nicolai and Max Tundra. He has performed live visuals alongside Squarepusher, Aphex Twin and Plaid with Flat-e. Finn's animation work is used as a part of the on going Warp works & 20th Century composers tour which has reached Europe's most prestigious venues.
